Just turned 11K on the DS, I feel I can now consider myself a "Pro" instead of a "Rookie". Report on the DS at this time only minor issues, WIFI ranger failed, Newmar shipped me a new one, TPMS keeps losing com with the rears during travel, shower wasn't sealed correctly, we have a new wall (minor water damage) waiting for us at the dealer when we return in December, other than that, really love the MH vs towing a 5th wheel, although i always have feeling that I missed something during departure as its too easy, not much to do on "pulling away" day!

I just recently rolled over 6000 miles, 4000 are mine and I know the 'Rookie' feeling. I have never been a written checklist guy, even as a 4000 hr plus pilot. Check lists are a great idea for sure but they do not guarantee steps won't be missed. Even after I walk around the coach two times before departure, I always wonder what did I miss?
I too have been quite happy with the DS quality and reliability overall. The first trip out we had a leak in the galley sink drain that I am sure was just a simple installer mistake, I fixed that easily myself. Recently after 125 hours of run time I replaced the igniter in the Oasis heater. Other than a flat tire, a squeaky fan belt, a wonky thermostat and a failed snap ring on a locker door hinge, the coach has been trouble free. It has been a year now of short shake out cruises longest one 500 miles round trip but next summer if all goes well we will be doing a three plus week trip around the PNW in search of a retirement base once we decide to pull the plug on California.
