12 volt fridge

It use to be that it was best not to operate the propane fridges when parked for an extended period on a hill. Is this still the case with the newer 12 volt only fridges?

Yes it cost me my fridge a few years ago. In retrospect it was a good thing as I was able to convert to a resi fridge double the size in the same location. I did have to cut down the drawers under the fridge ge but that was all. Top photo old fridge bottom is the new fridge.
