2001 timing belt Roadtrek

I am wondering if anyone has experience with replacing the timing belt on a 2001 Roadtrek. I think I need one soon (90k + miles on it)

Timing belt, not chain?
Most auto makers recommend 50k for replacement. If it is a belt you are on borrowed time. Is it a concern? Well that depends on if the engine is an interference engine or not. If an interference engine, and the belt fails, it will destroy the engine. If not interference, it will just be an inconvenience.

If it's on a Dodge or Chevrolet van chassis, they both have a chain driven in block camshaft that needs no special maintenance and should be good for the life of the engine with regular oil changes.
