This is my first post here as I just purchased this nice clean van.
The house batteries are not being charged when driving down the road or when plugged into the house. I think there are two issues.
One of the 6v batteries is reading 3.7v and it's not coming up on a battery tender/charger. Best I could get is 4.5v or so. There is 9.5v on one side of the isolator. Also there is only 9.5v on the main input terminals to the inverter.

Secondly, the fuse for the battery separator is blown. There is 12v along the top six terminals and 12v on all the lower ones, but #4 i.e. the white fuse that goes to the battery separator. The battery isolator is a 200amp continuous unit (Sure Power Model 1315-200 and the engine driven alternator is 150amp. I have no idea why this fuse blew but I have a hunch it was replaced with a lower amperage than designed. The wire is very heavy gauge, similar to terminal #1 that has a larger bolt and 200amp fuse. I was thinking of trying a 125amp fuse.

Then I was told of this forum and that perhaps someone could verify for me what size fuse they have in slot #4.

Thanks
Curtis

From right to Left number 4 says 80. You're 6v battery has a dead cell.

Yup, that's what I was thinking, two issues, bad battery and fuse. What size fuse is in your #4 terminal? I can't find anywhere what it's supposed to be.

Thanks
Curtis

Curtis. I want you to know this.
Fuses protect wire! That is the only reason they exist.
People modify things without experience,or knowledge to do a proper job. Some will add a larger fuse, but fail to increase wire size making fire a real possibility. (Smaller is better when replacing fuses while waiting for the proper fuse)

You can google your wire size, and ask what size fuse you require for that wire size.(That is the safe way).

A disclosure! I don't have a roadtrek.

The way I Am most helpful, is teaching others the knowledge, rather than answering All the questions. My opinion, people want to learn not just fix their problem.

So ask away, but when you look at My answers, they may leave you wanting.

No worries Kevin. Appreciate your expertise. The wire will handle 200amps but I'm hesitant to do that. Perhaps someone will look under their hood for me and see what amperage fuse they have in terminal #4.

Thanks
Curtis

And Kevin, am I seeing corrosion in that crimp?

It absolutely can lead to build up of heat which increase the amperage load
