Blue "westminster" design looks pretty, good blue. I'm sure the "shadowing" will drive this over 1M

wood work 🤮

Bosch microwave

3 burner induction cooktop, how many burners can you use to level 10 at once? Dual inverter may allow all.

ceiling design 🤮

Nice job Newmar. Quick overview was outstanding.

Dutch Star wins again

Aside from the nitpicking, I'm glad they did the live event for the new models. Good on them.

When is the actual dealers' show where we will find out about the other models and 2023 changes to them as soon as they get posted on some dealer's website?

I think it occurred prior to this event as they said in the end the dealers were traveling home, give them time to respond to questions as such.

I prefer actual old fashion light switches instead of using the Silverleaf.

Any mention of a price increase?

Newmar didn't talk prices. I imagine that info will start coming out of dealer inquiries. Would be nice to get the initial MSRP's across the line.

I may have logged off when they were talking about the all new DS front cap that looked suspiciously similar to mine.

Just for fun I got my hands on a 2023 order form for a Mountain Aire 4118 (same coach we ordered in 2022).
  • 2022 base price (9/6/21 order sheet) - $680,415 --- (when we ordered it)
  • 2023 base price (5/2/22 order sheet) - $796,817

Wow!!! A 17.1% increase just in the base price.

Prediction: 2023's won't be a sell out. The economy has already slowed. Don't be afraid to ask/demand 40-50% off MSRP as the discounts/rebates/etc are going to be higher this year to move these coaches.

So what's the MSRP of the 2023 King Aire and Essex? Is the KA going to tickle 2M now?

I don't agree. The dealers markup remains unchanged, so seeing anything north of 30% would only be feasible if the manufacturer provides additional incentives. Newmar avoided that in 2007-2008 by only building sold coaches.

The 2023 production run is already allocated to a dealer, meaning it is sold as far as Newmar is concerned.

Will dealers go bankrupt to avoid buying? Maybe some will ..and that will create some havoc, but unless it is a very large dealer that represents more than 10% of the total production, it won't be enough to cause the market to fall for Newmar.

In the travel trailer world, there may be more discounts, as they historically have better margins.

Looks like the Essex has crossed the 1M line. Hard no for me.
