Our 2 year old Crusader 297rks has suddenly started biting. I had to remove part of old and replace with new galley handle which is underneath rather than in area with everything else... I was knealing under trailer with my forearm resting on the trailer frame while I screwed on the handle. I started getting a little tingle and the longer I touched, the stronger it bit. This was yesterday. Today I opened the doors to storage on that same and got bit just turning the knobs. We are plugged in to the house just like always with a 50amp to 30amp reducer. Any ideas why I would suddenly get shocked.

Has ANYTHING been changed in the electrical system, either in the RV or the circuit where it is plugged into? It sounds like you may have a hot lead and ground crossed. Be careful! I'd unplug from shore power until you get this figured out.

Examine all power cords and extension cords (if used) for physical damage (deteriorating insulation, damaged plugs, etc.).

You might also check the AC breaker panel (with the POWER UNPLUGGED) for loose or disconnected wires, Snug up all wire connections, but don't over-tighten. Look for breakers that are open. That might provide a clue to where to look next.

Something here is not right.

Checking all of those things out for sure. Now of course, there is nothing when he goes out to see it he gets bit.

He found a fishing pole pushed up into a junction of wires. That has been remedied. Doesn't seem to be biting any tonight. I will say it was eerie. He thinks maybe it wasn't plugged in all of the way.
