Question AC electrical

Kevin: I know you can answer this.
On boats, the inpot power is (usually) a 30L5 or twist lock 30A.
On the pictures of RVs I see some of them, with a Clother Dryer type, "Y" plug forthe park end.Am I seeing this right?
The reason, I have a 50' 30 amp with 30L5s on both ends, andwent to make up input cables for home use for running battery chargers/maintainers, and fridge to allow set up the day before leaving, and A/C for while working on it. and possibly adapting my Honda 2000I.

That y plug has a different ground prong. This is a common problem with electricians hooking up campers to 30 amp 240v, not 30 amp 120v. You can make up a plug with twist lock but you cannot feed the 240 to the camper.

I have had at least 5 incidences where licensed electricians put 240 into a 120 camper. And other just look at the welding plug they have and assume it is the same. BUT, I will defer to the other Kevin as he is actually an electrician and has boat experience. Mine is just lobster boats and they dont plug into shore power.....lol.
