AC making thumping noise

After borrowing @ARD's ladder I bought one. Sturdy, compact, and I store it on top of the gen, strapped in to rails.

Hi Neal. My question is: When you prop the ladder to the side of the coach, does it stick a little above? It helps when you are trying to get down.

I don't recall it not being tall enough or a concern. Specs say it's 12.5' long. Add "noodles" to the area that touches your coach. I used it to get to the top of my windshield to install @J&JD's gutter mod. I did not use it to get on the roof as I have a ladder on the back of mine for that. Maybe others can chime in as this seems to the popular one among the Newmar community.
 
Neal .... thanks for the noodle recommendation. That will solve most of my issues.
