4081 Newmar Dutch Star. Water is accumulating on top of the drivers side long slide. Then when you bring the slide in and leave, first time you stop you get a bath, all the water comes down on the driver.
Anyone have any ideas beside I use a towel on top of the slide when it's in.

I've had this occur only when getting the coach washed and someone (self?) sprays under the topper. If you know it was washed stand on your driver's seat and check the slide top to see if your bath awaits. If so, use your jacks to tilt the coach prior to retracting the slide the drain the water.

Same as Neal said, Make your coach lean forward and let the water drain, then retract the jacks and bring in the slides... i also roll up a towel and place it on top of the slide in case there is still some water there.. just make sure you remove the towel before you put the slides out again.

Usually when you drop the jacks the water comes off before bringing the slides in. If you see water draining just wait a bit before starting up and bringing the slides in.
Thanks for the responses. I have done all those things suggested. I pulled the coach in my shop the other day and left it dry out real good. Then I put the slide out, drivers side, put my ladder up against the front side and got up there with a flashlight and water hose to see what might happen if I sprayed water over top of the slide. YAHOO !! I found it. There is a long channel that the slide out fabric fits into. This channel is in 2 pieces, being butted together right behind the bracket about the dining room window. There was a 1/8th inch gap in that joint and the water was pouring in there onto the top of the slide out. I sealed it with Flex Paste and now it is fine.

@rvpacer ... any chance you can post a picture of this? I have struggled with this issue on ever Newmar coach I have owned with a FWS. Maybe I can finally fix this as I hate to even have it rain when traveling.

I'm trying to attach a photo of the problem before I sealed. You can see the gap and it goes down over the leading edge also , you need to seal it all.

Thanks ... I will now get up there and see what mine looks like.
