Adding oasis transfer fluid?

The reservoir only gets doses when expansion takes place. Diluting the fresh fluid placed in the reservoir. Best to take a sample from the radiator cap on the hydronic heating module when it has cooled down to ambient temperature. That fluid runs thru the arteries of the system day in and day out.

All in all the procedure I posted ealier worked.

I found the hoses to the hydronic unit impossible to remove. I cut the hose just above the barb...and used a razor knife to cut and peel the stuck on hose material to prepare the barb for hose reinstallation. Hose has enough slack to accommodate this if you find it necessary.

I performed two fresh water flushes... the first ran clear for a while...but when blowing out the system with air...more semi-grundgy color appeared...so I flushed again with fresh water and then blew out with air a second time. Much cleaner.

I wound up with probably 3 or 4 gallons of left over fluid... I didn't put all of the third 5 gallon pail in my storage container... so a couple of gallons were pure...and and some left in the recirculation well...it has a tiny bit of discoloration compared to brand new fluid...but it will be plenty to top up the reservoir as needed. Usually go thru some everytime I replace a loop pump.

Tomorrow it's off to the the local hazardous waste place... probably have 22 gallons of spent coolant and water mixed to dispose of. I'll give the hydronic unit a level check again tomorrow when cooled to see if the tank was truly filled. May need a little top up.

Clear tubing is a must have. It's pretty important to see bubbles and color change when doing the process.
