@NWIP - suggestion. Can you also include images (screenshots, whatever) of your routes so we can see how you get to where you're going? Gracias
@Neal not sure if this is what you’re suggesting 😳

That works but if you wanted to do it in sections more zoomed in so people can see better the routes/roads, etc. I'm guessing people could figure out the route from that. It just helps tell the story if you wanted to show route and photos, just an idea, anything you share is great for all of us watching.

Thank you so very much for the detailed trip information. Pictures are a plus as is the route taken. As we want to do this trip next year, we will be following. Been to Alaska two times and it is spectacular every where we went.
Very safe travels

Wish we were there @NWIP. I can “bearly” stand it!

I can see I either need to potty train Elli or get one of those grass mat things. I'm not going outside!!!

Ah we only saw 6 bears not including the dead one on side of road. Get some bear spray, you’ll be fine.🤗

Neal you don't have to be the fastest in the bunch, would not advise being slowest however......

We are returning to Alaska this summer and will highlight places, campgrounds and events along the way.

Day 1
Border Crossing was at Coutts which is I-15 north of Great Falls, MT. We spent the night before crossing at Great Falls RV Park (formerly Dick’s RV Park) which is a common place to for people to stop. I had been warned by friends who returned home to Alaska about 3 weeks ago that the park had gone downhill but figured we could handle 1 night, on our return to lower 48 I will try and find alternate campground.
Crossing was very easy, ArriveCAN application is required and notification of crossing is submitted 72 hours in advance. Personal information including passport, vaccination status and reason for travel is entered in the app notifying customs details in advance and they provide a confirmation which you are advised to have with you at the border. The usual question about firearms, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, etc were asked and we must of provided correct answers as we were allowed to proceed.

Will follow up with additional stops as soon as I get a chance and have better internet
Hi guys.... So, we weren't so lucky going across the boarder. We were detained for 5 hours - yes, they searched everything & everywhere... Ugh - rough beginning but they let us go! Breathing Deep.

Fort Nelson-Muncho Lake (149 miles)
Muncho Lake-Watson Lake (174 miles)

Most of these 2 sections of the Highway have little to no cell service as you wander thru some of the Northern Canadian Rockies, although only around 3500-4000’.

We had planned on stopping at Strawberry Flats Provincial Park in Muncho Lake for 2 days. This is first come/first stay park and arriving on a Saturday I wasn’t that confident which turned out to be correct as there were only 2 sites available both to small. We ended up boondocking at a rest stop for the night.

There was a lot of construction on this section of leg thru the mountains with pilot car areas and very dusty. No pictures of coach till I get it washed🤣

This section follows the Liard River for much of the leg which is very scenic. Bison are plentiful, Stone Sheep, Caribou ( didn’t see) and of course more bears.

Ultimately at the end of our second day we ended up in Watson Lake in the Yukon. This is where the Sign Post Forest is. We found our sign from 2019 and added a new one for 2022.

Cell service returns about 5 miles south of town. Downtown RV Park is nothing more than a parking lot with hookups.

AT&T Good
T-mobile Good
