So on our last night before getting to our winter site we parked, got hooked up, got the slides, out and leveled for the night. When I went out to look it all over I noticed my patio side rear snap pad was gone and the foot appeared to be buried in the soft sandy dirt (Florida). Bummed out, but not serious, hoped no one caught that in their windshield on the I10, would figure out a replacement after next days drive. When we aired up in the morning and levelers up is when I noticed the entire foot was gone! Got to destination, after all day speculation of what did I hit, I didnt hear anything, glad my toad wasnt wearing it in the radiator, more I hope no one caught it in the windshield......etc. Turns out leg was fine, bolt had just backed out and foot gone, but nno other damage. Yay! Got ahold of Equalizer, they had the foot and specialty bolt in stock, also had snapad in stock and I got both for just over $200 bucks. Went out and got the tooI would need to install (my jacks use a 3/4 inch bolt with a 1/2 allen hex flush mount type head, didnt happen to have any allen wrenches that big, thank you Harbor Freight as Home Depot and Lowes were no go for one that big. UPS delivered foot and snapad 4 days later, locktite and my largest 1/2 inch rachet in hand crawled under and got it done. And yes I did check all ther rest of the jack foot bolts, and only one turned a half turn. Just bad luck one wasnt tightened enough and worked itself out. Still hope no one caught that beast in their grill or windshield, no idea where I lost it. RV life at its finest!

Maybe you should have used blue Locktite?

I did use blue locktite on the replacement, apparently the factory did not on the original leg as the bolt backed completly out. All the rest of the legs were tight.

Scooterfan, my assumption as well, turns out Equalizer has two different versions (that I researched in finding the part I needed), one with bolts (mine) that thread into the stainless leg and one with a nut that threads into a bolt coming out of the stainless leg. One more thing to keep an eye on while out and about!

How hard was it to remove the other three snap pads to check the bolt on them?

You are right about one thing..."it's always something" 😊 It's the "fun" of RV life...safe travels. Blessings

FloridaSon, fortunately SnapPad had the good sense to provide a drain hole center of the pads, my allen socket fit nicely and was able to check each one. Again, my install, other styles may vary!

Thanks, learned something that might come in handy. Good thing to check on a regular schedule. Regards
