They told me to tighten with impactdrill, but it would not tighten any further. Newmar just serviced the jacks and said they were fine.
Equalizer responded today. Confirmed what I think we've now concluded, which is they are designed to move and contour to the ground (just many of us never noticed, as it's not obvious when fully retracted or seated on ground).

Also, he said while more than likely they are also tight, to be sure, he said it wouldn't hurt to hit each with an impact drill and a 1/2" hex bit to confirm they are tight.

So, at least we got consistent info.

Finally bought an impact drill and 1/2 hex bit, and used it to make sure they are tight, as Equalizer and poster in thread suggested. They didn't budge when I hit them with the impact.

I wanted to make sure they were tight before putting snap pads on, which I did this evening. Have had them for over a year, and since I haven't been using RV much, and had neck problems (had surgery six months ago), I just left them sitting there until today.
