Question Are these house batteries wired correct?

my parents have a 2004 Fleetwood Bounder 38’.

They recently had new batteries installed and while I was in town I had a look at things since the starter battery was drained and the engine would not start.

I checked the manual and it indicates this is a 12V house system.

There is an inverter installed as well, as you can imagine.

Below is a sketch of how I found the house batteries wired. Is this correct?

If so, and we want to apply an external battery charger to charge the batteries, to which posts should we connect?

The batteries are wired in series effectively giving yoy 48v. This will explain everything. connecting batteries

Is this normal to have 48v wired on this model of RV? How do I determine if it’s correct?

The batteries are wired in series effectively giving yoy 48v.

The diagram shows that there are 2 batteries wired in series, and each pair of series batteries are wired in parallel. If the batteries are 6VDC batteries then you end up with 12VDC total.
