Is there any good interstate roads in the northeast? I just drove to Syracuse NY and back on I81 and the roads in NY upstate Pa are awful. It beat the crap out of my BayStar. Are are any good workarounds for these routes? I need to do it again next summer. I am also getting new shocks put on the rig.

Haha!! Same conditions in every direction. On my first drive to Indana, I thought parts were going to fall off - same in Mich. I find that more often than not, the free secondary roads are in much better condition than the paid interstates. Go figure.

Since beginning this whole RV journey over the past 10 years or so we have noticed a huge decline in almost every State's roads. Illinois, California, Colorado to name a few of the worse we have bounced over recently. The smoothest all around pavement can probably be found in Florida but the whole State is getting to be bumper to bumper.

I think Ohio has the worst roads.
