Battery Compartment

Now that we are back off the road, it’s time for new and finishing coach projects. Since I converted to Lithium I now need to tidy up the battery compartment. Looking for ideas of how others may have converted theirs, the good and bad. So far I have new cables, buss bars, temperature sensor, nesting smoke alarm and lighting. It looks pretty open, not sure of what material to use to seal the bay.

So as I get ready for my Lithium project, I began to think about the best way to wire them. I will have 8 100ah GC2 sized battleborns.

I know many of you use the wiring method on the left (see below). I have seen articles that say the diagram on the right pulls power from the batteries more evenly. A third method (not pictured) would be to run a positive and negative line from each battery to a busbar and then connect those busbars to the negative and positive lines on the RV. This third method would be a bit more challenging…..so based on the experience on this forum, am I good...

Contributing my post as well. I used the basement carpet from Newmar to pretty it up (well SES did the install, I just outlined the job and supplied the carpet). A gasket on the basement door to seal the door as one is not installed by Newmar as the FLA batteries need to ventilate.
