I am new owner of 1991 Dodge roadtrek.
Noticed volts were dropping rapidly figured alternator had failed. Installed new alternator it made power but didn't get back to battery. Found online Dodge had issues with voltage regulator built into the computer. Installed external voltage regulator still didn't charge battery. Under battery tray Found isolator it is severely corroded & 1 wire no longer connected. I've looked everywhere in van for a second battery & it dosen't have house battery nor did I find wiring for 1. Is the isolator wired to power inverter while motor is running?
