Hi everyone. We have a problem with our dash AC not blowing cold on our 2022, 3014 Bay Star. We're in Nappanee, where we hoped to get it fixed. We've been here a week and still no nearer to getting it resolved. They think it's the Evans expansion valve but don't know what the correct part # is. They've tried 2 different ones and still no luck. It's like pulling teeth here which is not what we expected from the Newmar Service Center. Has anyone here had a similar issue? Thanks,

Not sure how equipped Newmar Service is to address A/C issues. From your comments they look to be guessing at a solution. You might try a local Truck Service in town that does A/C work.

Thank you Joe. It got fixed today! They tried 5 different valves before finding the correct one.

I just replaced my expansion valve. If you go to Automotive Budget on eBay he has them for $40. The ad reads Newmar rv. The two holes on the back are both size 8, the large one on the front is size 10 the smaller one on front is size 6. Mine old one had the number 329-495. You’ll also need to replace the sticky insulation on the outside to make the ac run correctly and not freeze up. I have a 2017 3333 Baystar F 53. Ford changed to metric in 1988. I also changed my receiver driver which was about $55 at Oriellys Auto Ford IC34 19959 BA. Only two bolts! You’ll need a small tube of plumbers sealer for the threads. And buy a box of ac o rings. About $8. Both the ex valve and drier are simple and easily accessible. You’ll need a set of metric open ends. I think the largest was a 21mm. If you have used the eco friendly Freon that’s good. If not you need to take it to a dealer to recycle. I also bought a vacuum pump. I have seen some of the quick oil change shops will remove Freon.
