Does anyone else find the OEM mattress that came in their coach to be uncomfortable and if so, what did you replace it with or top it with?
My wife has been sleeping on the couch to avoid a back-ache that comes with sleeping on the King Mattress. We have Temper-Pedic in the house and am considering buying a casper or something for the coach.

I bought a mattress topper, but I see the king size is no longer available.

I heard people raving about Brooklyn Mattress

Call these guys RV Mattress , tell them exactly what you want out of a mattress and/or don’t like about the current one, and they’ll make a custom one for you. Also their warranty/customer service can’t be beat. I’ve used them three times over the years and if I didn’t have a sleep number in my current coach, I’d be sleeping on another one. Also reasonable prices and made in the USA. Home

We have a Zinus in our current coach. Liked it so much we replaced the one in the house with the same brand.

We just got a Purple mattress for the house and am considering it for the coach also.

A slab of granite??? 🤣

I found our topper was too spongy. Placing the mattress over the topper was much better.

I'm assuming you don't have the Sleep Number that was an option?

We absolutely love our Sleep Number, so much so we bought another for the house.

I just bought a used Sportscoach. The boss HATES the bed. There is zero room to tuck the sheets in when making it. It is a hinged mattress, so that it will clear when slid in. I'm looking to go to a queen, but can;t find any that have the hinged bottom.. ANY advise?

Yes. Talk to mattress insider. They can make a hinged mattress (they did one for me) and they can also make one to any dimensions you want. So if you have a king and it’s a little too wide, you dont have to go to a queen. Just have them make it about 3” narrower (I had one of those made for a different coach). And the best part about it is that the mattresses are wonderful to sleep on and reasonably priced. Also you can have it made any thickness, so if you have the vertical clearance you can have a nice thick mattress instead of the wimpy 6” OE thing (had one of those made to 9” too). I also had a cut-corner made and it fit perfectly. And their customer service is tops - satisfaction guaranteed isn’t just a slogan - they mean it. So anyway, that’s my experience. I wouldn’t shop anywhere else. Oh yeah - they are made in the USA.

You are a HERO!
My boss really did not want me to sell ger 5th wheel. However, logistically, yet certainly not fiscally, it was a good move for us.
First thing I heard when putting things in, "I HATE THIS BED". Soooo, being the Master of MY Castle, and much smarter than I look, I need to find something quick. She scares me.
I'll call them in the morning.
Thanks

A little story about their customer service:

The third mattress I bought for them, for an aging 30’ Class C with a miserable OE mattress, ended up sitting in the box for a couple months because I had an ailing family member back east that needed help so I dropped everything and went to NH.

So when I finally got around to installing the mattress, it only expanded to around 6” and not the 9” I specified (3 layers of different foam types). It was totally my fault but I called them to see if I could do anything about it. They sent me a new one no charge, didn’t even charge shipping, after I told them this was my fault. They just asked me to donate the first one to a Good Will or similar. Very decent folks at Mattress Insider.

I will be giving them a call soon.

I’ve put Dynasty mattresses in my last two RV’s. I’d recommend the 12 or 14 inch gel. They have RV sizes if you need them. The bed actually sold my last RV. I now have one in our current one as well. Lifetime guarantee.

;)Sleep number is what we have. Slept on a water bed for most of my life. I did not want to add a water bed to our coach. We purchased sleep numbers for the stationary home and for the coach. :)

Ours came with a sleep number bed. I haate to come home to our house bed, The sleep number bed is the best sleep ever. IMHO

We have a sleep number in our new Newmar and love it.

Our precious coach had a crappy mattress and we replaced that with a Zinus memory foam that we got in Amazon.

Loved the Zinus in the coach so much we replaced the one in the house with the same brand.

If we ever decide to replace the sleep number I’d have no qualms getting another Zinus.

In our 2021 superC, the boss hated whatever came in it; I said to get any bed you want.
So a few days later, she said after researching, she ordered a 4-inch topper pad; I about come unglued.
I installed it, and I must say im glad I thought of that as it's excellent.

Rich, I ordered from Mattress Insider and it arrived today. I’m giving it 24 hours to expand and I plan to try it out right here at home. We wanted a Sleep Number since we have had that at home for about 30 years. They stopped making RV mattresses. We need an RV queen and a traditional size would not fit. This one looks good, I hope does not sink.

They stopped making RV mattresses.
When I purchased mine it was a "Queen Short"..... Did they change the name not calling the mattress an RV mattress?
