Hi folks, thanks for welcoming me to the group. We own a 2020 Crosstrek 20XG that we purchased used a year and half ago, with very low miles. As most of you know it was the first edition year of this model was released and it has a few peculiarities that don't appear on subsequent models. I've upgraded many of the components and I love the way this drives.
I have a question related to my my battery upgrade however that I can't seem to get a clear answer on so any help would be appreciated. I replaced the massive AGM battery that came with the unit with a LiFePo4 480 AH battery along with an appropriate LiFePo4 battery converter and Mppt Solar Charger.
I did all this shortly after purchase and everything has been working fine. However I recently discovered that I probably should have updated the Battery Isolation Manager when I changed the battery.
It appears that most people upgrade their BIM's to the Precision Controls Li-BIM 225 unit. After searching all the RV I don't believe it has a BIM but contact solenoid relay (Pics 1 and 2). I t appears to have the positive lugs and ground wire without SIG and IGN wires or connectors.
If anyone can confirm this for me that would be great or if there is anything I'm missing here, please let me know. Thanks.
