Hey Jim are you still open during the first week in November or is the season over by then?

Hi Rich!

We are open for those visitors who's reservations were made for October and run into the first week of November. But we aren't actually open for new visitors in November. By November, we're experiencing below freezing weather, and we have to disconnect the water to the gazebos/refrigerators/etc.

I hope to change this, if only on a partial basis, when our Wilderness Loop opens in 2024. We will forgo the gazebo package for a more traditional approach, with a focus on large campsite areas and long range mountain views.

Of course, the expected picnic tables and fire rings will be present, as will our Internet solutions. Can't camp without Internet, right? :) On a side note, and thank you to @Joe Goodxrvn for his educational advice, we plan to make the Wilderness Loop ADA friendly, something that is often overlooked in the rustic RVing community.

If I can solve the problems associated with campers water lines freezing, (theirs, not ours) then I may be able to extend our offering to include winter camping.

Personally, I plan on being in Florida during the colder months, so I'll have to find someone to attend to the place while I'm gone. And that brings with it another group of issues, but we're working on it!

Looking forward to visiting the 2024 Spring on the way North:cool:

We expect to be there by 2-3 Friday afternoon, will valet service still be available? :)

As of today, yes! But nobody's been paid in several weeks and I'm expecting a walk out any day now. So. . .

You will really enjoy such a fantastic place! We sure did!!
Not sure about the valet service, but we were greeted & guided to our special site by the "owners"!:)
That was kinda special!(y)
