Wow. That's a shame. I hate that you had to waste so much time only to get that answer.

Well since you don’t have long stay guests, you can advertise as the place to unplug and unwind for a spell - or B.Y.O.I. (Bring your own internet).

I have been thinking the same. Some times we need to disconnect. Connect with nature in NC.

Decided to snub the Internet gods and make pizza instead! I bought a 16" pizza stone last week and we tossed it on the grill, cranked it up to 550* and let it heat up for 30 minutes.

In the meantime, I made up 5 small "mini pizzas". Tossed them on for 10 minutes, and then handed them out to Trish and my mother-in-law.

They came out great! I don't think I'll do the mini pizza thing again, unless someone wants a special pizza that has different (or less) toppings on it than the others.

So today an inevitable end came to a situation that we've been dealing with for awhile. Turns out these individual pizza's were one of my mother-n-laws last meals. Well, last that she really enjoyed anyway.

On Mothers Day, I bought both Trish and Tat (her mom) a bouquet of flowers. It was the first time in may years that anyone bought her flowers, and she was all over me with thanks. Hard to understand her as she had recently had a stroke and her speech was very bad. But it made an old lady feel young again.

We took her to a place that served French Toast that she absolutely loved. And bacon too! Lord she loved that bacon! And then that night I made mini pizza's and she chalked that day up as being a great one!

Two days later she got Covid. It didn't kill her, but it took away her will to live. And today, with Trish beside her, she left this world. It's sad, but it was time, and she had made the decision to go.

Who knew that those silly little pizza's were going to become so important in an old lady's life? But they were, and I'm glad I got a chance to make her life just a little bit better.

Go do something nice for your wife, your kids, or maybe even your mother-n-law. Life is short, and when they're gone, your chances to say anything will be gone forever.

@Jim I'm very sorry to hear this. But I'm glad you were able to bring her such joy. My condolences to you and your family.
