So we bought the 2019 Grand Design Transcend 30mks and got it home. Looking for some opinions on some necessities for our tow vehicle and the trailer. I already bought extended tow mirrors for my truck as I couldn't see down the side of the trailer when we towed it home.

What's the opinion on sway control hitches? Didn't seem to have any issues towing the 35ft trailer but really my first time towing something of this size.

Thanks for all the help.

I'm a big fan of WD hitches with built in sway control (vs. add-ons that you have to setup/adjust separately) for easy setup. My last one was a Reese SC and it worked great. That said, if your truck has an integrated brake controller, it's possible that it's tied into the vehicle stability control. My Ram 1500 would automatically apply trailer brakes if any sway was detected (only happened to me once, and it was pretty nice..). I still used sway control anyway.

Anything you do to improve handling will make your driving much less stressful IMO.
