Hi all!

We are new to the forum and wanted to say HI!

Patti & I grew up next door to each other, and our families did many things together, including camping. We got married in 1998 and have been camping ever since. We've had a vintage trailer, tag-a-longs, fifth wheels, and gas and diesel motorhomes.

Right before the C19 thing, we bought a Sportscoach to travel with my mom, but that was put on hold for a while. After C19, we brought both our moms down to the old Chula Vista RV Resort (before they tore it all down) on the weekends. Since our moms have settled into their lives, it's just the two of us, so we downsized into a Georgetown GT7 32J7. What a great floor plan for two people. Not having the dinette is a big win as we do not entertain or have guests.

We are self-employed as jerky and snack manufacturers, working from sunup to sundown. We currently have our RV parked at the new Chula Vista RV Resort (Sun RV Resort) and come down on Thursday night or Friday for the weekend. We each have a classic car that we compete against each other with. She has a 1967 Dodge Polara 500 convertible, and I have a 1966 Chrysler Newport convertible. We bought them to drive, so they are daily drivers.

We never had kids because we've always wanted to do what we want when we want. If we were independently wealthy when we were younger, we might have had children, but we weren't and therefore feel we made the right decision. And because we have no children, we are leaving our business to our employees.

Welcome! Great to have you with us. Great pics!

You got me at "Jerky" 😉 Tell us more...Blessings
Hi,

We own Tender Heifer Snack Co., and we produce private-label jerky products and a line of snacks that include popcorn, licorice, dried fruit, nuts, gummies, Mexican candies, and trail mix.

Our jerky categories are beef jerky, bacon jerky, Cowboy Style jerky, elk jerky, buffalo jerky, venison jerky, beef sticks, meat snack sticks, meat snack sticks with cheese, and exotic sticks with cheese.

We bought the company seven years ago when it was just a jerky route with 19 stores and 8 flavors of jerky. Today we produce 36 flavors of beef jerky, 6 flavors of Cowboy Jerky, 5 bacon flavors, 6 flavors each of the elk-buffalo-venison jerky, 5 beef stick flavors, 10 meat snack stick flavors, 2 meat snack sticks with cheese, and 1 flavor each of the exotics with cheese.

Our vision was to offer private-label jerky to anybody looking to start a business or add branded jerky to an existing business. It took off pretty fast when retail locations learned they now had the option to add top-quality, privately branded jerky products to their inventory. Knotts Berry Farm in California was our first private-label client, and we continue to make special-recipe flavors for them each quarter for their events. Now, we have more than 200 clients we do this for and it's growing.

Thanks for asking!

Welcome to the group, nice pics.
