Hi all!
We are new to the forum and wanted to say HI!
Patti & I grew up next door to each other, and our families did many things together, including camping. We got married in 1998 and have been camping ever since. We've had a vintage trailer, tag-a-longs, fifth wheels, and gas and diesel motorhomes.
Right before the C19 thing, we bought a Sportscoach to travel with my mom, but that was put on hold for a while. After C19, we brought both our moms down to the old Chula Vista RV Resort (before they tore it all down) on the weekends. Since our moms have settled into their lives, it's just the two of us, so we downsized into a Georgetown GT7 32J7. What a great floor plan for two people. Not having the dinette is a big win as we do not entertain or have guests.
We are self-employed as jerky and snack manufacturers, working from sunup to sundown. We currently have our RV parked at the new Chula Vista RV Resort (Sun RV Resort) and come down on Thursday night or Friday for the weekend. We each have a classic car that we compete against each other with. She has a 1967 Dodge Polara 500 convertible, and I have a 1966 Chrysler Newport convertible. We bought them to drive, so they are daily drivers.
We never had kids because we've always wanted to do what we want when we want. If we were independently wealthy when we were younger, we might have had children, but we weren't and therefore feel we made the right decision. And because we have no children, we are leaving our business to our employees.
