Can someone explain battery discharge

Most load testers are for starting batteries. Deep cycle batteries for the chassis are usually tested by timing the voltage drop using a specified amperage drain over time…or Electronic Impedance Spectroscopy. The best test for us is using the coach. If you have fully charged batteries and unplug overnight…if you wake up to less than 12.4 volts (provided you don’t have a big load going) your batteries are weak. There are lots of graphs to google with lead acid voltage v SOC charts. If you download the Lifeline Battery Manual…it will have a lot of the graphs in it for their AGMs. The idea is to be able to run your coach for a specific duration. If it can’t do that…Even though fully charged voltage looks okay…it’s time to replace them.
