This is what mine look like

Does the automatic transfer switch have anything to do with 12vdc? When on shore power my inverters led light turns red. Indicates an over charge. When I start generator the inverter led light turns green
Indicates normal operation?

No 12vdc meter in my system

I installed one similar to this in my dash primarily so I can see the status of my batteries while boondocking at a glance but it can also tell you what’s going on while on different system’s. This sight is terrific with a lot of great folks here but I would also highly recommend you get on the Monacoers.org site. A lot of folks there with your vintage Coach that are more knowledgeable about the electronics than me.
