In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic it's especially important to have clean filters in your RV. For those that may not know your roof air conditioners have filters most likely like my Newmar does by pulling down the magnetically held trim cover (wood panel for me). I typically vacuum them out and if necessary wash them with water and let air dry. I have a spare set of the filters if needed which also helps in rotating them for cleaning.

Water filtration is also a good idea, keep those filters changed frequently. I do mine quarterly needed or not. I have various ones from .5 micro to 1 micron as I use a dual filter system for sediment and carbon filtration. Now is a good time to ensure you have the 0.5 micron filters in use. I highly recommend the simple mod to a cost effective dual filtration system that I switched to a year ago and it works great.

I'm wondering, @Neal, are you using the Beach Lane dual filter unit in place of, or in addition to, the standard single canister Newmar installs? If using just the dual filter unit, are you using the 1 micro filter cartridge on the input side, followed by the ,5 micron filter?

I've been considering updating out single-canister filter system.

I replaced the single filter housing with the dual setup. Same filter you use now is first in line followed by the carbon filter.

I’ve had the dual filter system installed for 2+ years now. My first filter is a .5 micron string wound filter followed by a .5 carbon block filter.

My OnTheGo water softener, which sits on a small cart, has a primary water filter attached to it. Water is initially ran through that first filter, then through the softener, then to my coach and OEM filter. We consume water from the frig dispenser which is of course filtered once again by the Whirlpool filter.

I was changing my two WH filters every couple of months and will probably continue with that schedule. The a/c filters get done every quarter. Twice a year I remove the exterior covers on top of the coach and wash out everything up there also.

I bought the Clearsource dual filter system.

@Neal can you post the link for purchasing the air filters....

I bought the Clearsource dual filter system.
Does the Clearsource use standard filter elements, or do you have to buy the Clearsource filter elements? I can't seem to tell from their website.

I don't know. I sent them a message of inquiry. I will post their response.
I should have checked here first:

Hello! Thank you for the inquiry. Both filter elements are standard size 2.5 inch x 10 inch cartridges. The first stage is a 5 micron sediment filter. The second stage is a 0.5 micron carbon block filter. Our Clearsource replacement filter twin pack has what you need, and is available right here on Amazon.
