I have a 2016 Ventana 4037...and we had some paint repairs done at the mothership about four months ago. Now I come across the clearance lights...and they move around.

Is it my imagination, or weren't these originally siliconed to the body panel...and didn't shift around??? Perhaps they overlooked that detail when they put stuff back on after paint.

Are your clearance lights stuck on with silicone?

I don't own a Newmar but my Winnebago lights are secure. I'm quite sure they should be mounted so that moisture, grit and debris can not get behind them. I'm not sure that silicone is a good adhesive. I would use two sided tape and then seal with silicone.

Yup… definitely has caulk of some kind. I had to replace two of them recently….and recaulked them.

I used silicon caulk.

Thanks Gents!!!

They even caulked the screw top holding the lens when I had to replace a bulb.

I would expect caulking. If done right that caulking would only be applied to the top side of the fixtures, to avoid water pooling.

Masked around each light with painters tape...popped the rubber plug out of the Fiberglass...ran a bead of silicone. Rei started the rubber plug...wiped up extra silicone, and taped the lamp down. Hopefully tomorrow I can wash the places that were painted last August and put a fresh coat of Griot's Poly Wax on to keep it looking good and protect from UV. Not sure I need to worry as much about the rear...Not thinking water can intrude much from back end.
