Does anyone know what would best the best dash cam for a Class A motorhome?
Thanks,
Mike

Welcome to RVF Mike! There are a lot of choices for dashcams but here are a few things I go by personally:
  1. Always recording, not just reacting to an event
  2. 4K (or better as time goes on). Ever seen those security videos on the news where it's grainy and you can't make out what you're looking at? I want to be able to read a license plate in the video.
  3. Get the largest SD card the cam you choose supports. Buy the SD card separately and make sure it's the best you can get (speed, size, etc.). It's usually cheaper buying SD cards separate from the dash cam.
  4. I also have one in my toad, not used while towing, but I'm all about dash cams these days and in the toad I use a 2-channel (camera) option, one forward looking, one rear looking.
I personally like and use Blackvue's

Blackvue DR970X single channel

Also, try using the search feature of the forum as this has been discussed several times in the past and may provide some answers for you.

So many choices. I don't think there's a single correct answer. I use a Cobra 4K (the radar detector brand) that will run at user set intervals to a removable 256 GB micro SD card. I like this one because I can leave it on 24/7 to use as a 180° security camera at the front of the coach when we're parked. Do you know what features you want? Determine the answer to that then start your search.
