This is the neatest 2022 Gulfstream Vintage Cruiser! Jeanette and Glen Platt own this beauty and we got the privilege of seeing it, both inside and out.

At only 19', Gulfstream has really packed a lot of goodness into this little gem!

Deer Springs RV Park is a privately owned park located in the Smoky Mountains, 13 miles West of Franklin, NC. A unique park limited to 8 RV’s at a time, Deer Springs offers a serene setting and amenities like no other park in the area. Our park has been designed for “self contained RV’s”, and as such, there is no separate bath house on site. Each site has sewer, water, 30/50 amp services, picnic table, fire ring and a private gazebo. Each gazebo has a refrigerator with ice maker, preparation counter and sink with running water.

Booking is done online, but if you need assistance you can call us at (828) 349-5440. Please visit our website for more information.

Thank you!

Thanks for the information. Very convenient.

Hey Mary Beth, (in care of @Old Bubblehead), our newly acquired Internet / WiFi solution is working great! You can now browse the Internet, check emails, stream movies and make cell phone calls! Yes, it's about time! :)

As for the rest of you, it might be time to plan a visit before all the 2022 space is gone! Visit our website at www.deerspringsrvpark.com to check availability and book your favorite site!

All sites have:
  • Free WiFi
  • 30/50 Amp Service.
  • Sewer hookups
  • Picnic tables.
  • Fire rings.
  • Free firewood is provided for the length of your stay.
  • Your own private gazebo equipped with prep counter, sink with running water, refrigerator with ice maker and ceiling fan with light.
Note: While we strive to provide a memorable camping experience for everyone, our park is designed with a focus on the more mature visitor. As such, all guests and visitors must be 12 or older.

Dusty the mini labradoodle is 10. He is our kid at the moment. May he come to your beautiful rv park?

Hey Jim,
Mary Beth says thanks! Directed me to look for opportunity to check it out. I kind of enjoyed the off the grid vibe, but I understand those (like Mary Beth) that need more connectivity these days!
Great work staying with it and finding a solution to close the "gap".
Hope to see you guys again soon.

J&JD, Jim has put in two nice dog runs to help fur babies enjoy the part as well. Our doodles just like to lay around the gazebo and chill out in the shade.

Yes, of course! The other day, Trish mentioned that she remembers all the dogs names, but has trouble remembering the guests names. Kind of shows you where her head is at. :)

Click here for photos of some of our previous (doggie) guests.

The default router has a bit of trouble reaching your site. It does, but just barely, and the signal is low up there. Hold off until I get the tower up and the mesh antenna mounted. That will rain little internet isotopes all over the park, the neighbors houses, the national park down the road, and part of the next county.

Well, maybe not all of that, but your site anyway. . . :)

Well, this is nice! Foretravel IH-45, fits nicely in Site #4 (Park Place)

"Yo Bambs; I hear this guy is coming here with a RVdeer the same paint job as us"

As a prospective guest, I’m grateful it isn’t called Mountain Lion Springs.

PLEASE NOTE:

As of today, 9/18/2022, we have had several black bear sighting around the park. I live on the property and was driving up the mountain to my house, and a beautiful black bear was running up the hill in front of me!

Remember, you are camping in their back yard, so be mindful of the trash and BBQ's that you leave outside. These are Black Bears and they really don't want a confrontation with you, but the smell of grease on a Blackstone is really hard for them to ignore.

And PLEASE, if you see one of these magnificent creatures, it is in everyone best interest, (especially yours), to not try and feed it!

Thank you!

Drone video evidence please

Like to Hike?

Deer Springs RV Park is uniquely situated between two Appellation Trail entrance points, giving you access to a moderate 3.5 mile hike.

Leave your vehicle at one of the access point and we'll drop you off at the other. When you finish your hike, you will find your vehicle waiting to take you back to the park. The hike will take a few hours, and you'll get to see some very nice views and maybe even some wildlife!

This (and Starlink) may just be what finally pushes us over the line to book some time. Looking at next year’s color season now.
