The owners saw my earlier posting of their rig and sent me a picture that they took just prior to them leaving. This was one of the nicest, well maintained, 2007 Monaco Signature's I've ever seen.

Makes Site 8 look pretty good too! :)

Tonight, we had our first guest-hosted rib fest! I always figured it would go the other way around with us doing the smoking/presentation and the park coming to eat. But nope, tonight Scott and his lovely wife Alana, (a wonderful couple who were camping with their 2021 Jayco Eagle 317RLOK0), bought several racks of baby back ribs, and Mike, the campground host, smoked them on the pavilion smoker. And they were GREAT!

We had a fire in the new fireplace, ate until we couldn’t eat anymore, and had beer/wine and iced tea to top it all off.

What a great evening!

Note: Trish and I didn't make it into the picture. I was taking the pics and Trish was doing whatever Trish does, whatever that is . . . :)

If I‘m ever down your way (which hopefully I will be) I’ll make every effort to spend a few days there. Looks like my kind of park!

John and Linda Lullie made the trip out to Deer Springs RV Park in their 2020 Jayco Greyhawk 30Z. This is a really nice Class C, 32’ long with 2 slides, and it fit nicely in Site #8, which we call "The Woods".

This is John and Linda's first RV and we think they're going to have some really good times in it!

Our friends John and Debbie Vignola, AKA The Adventures of the Traveling Moose, have returned for a 10 day stay in Site #5 here at Deer Springs RV Park.

John and Debbie have a 2021 36' Flagstaff Super Lite, 5291KRL with 3 slides. The configuration of this rig makes it much larger that what you would expect from a 36' 5th Wheel.

Debbie took the following pictures and I snagged them off of their FB page. Thanks Debbie!

Real impressed with what you've done here. Looks unique and someplace I would like to stay. Wish I had read about this sooner, my sister and brother in law just finished a few week trip through the smokies.

Whenever I get out that way, I hope timing works out that I can stay and Deer Springs.

It was an absolutely beautiful day today, so we headed on up to the pavilion and made Chicken and Steak Shish Kabobs. Yes, pineapple made its way onto the Chicken Kabobs! They were great!

I can't say enough about the Master Built smoker/grill that we bought for the park. I've cooked pizza, ribs, burgers, vegies and today, Kabobs. And everything that we've ever cooked has come out super good.

Of the 3 options that we were considering, this was without a doubt, the correct choice.

So stop with the beautiful pictures & commentary already (no, please don’t stop!).

One of those kabobs need to be sent to the lab for testing. It's a completely random check. The one with the pineapple has been selected for detainment and testing.

@Neal noeth not of what what he speaketh. As he was the original poster on this forum putting pineapple on pizza he is obviously deranged and his thoughts are not to be trusted.

I'll send one for the lab (Elli), and I'll send you a coupon to huddle house. :) Deal?

just as long as there are no fruits on the hamburgers an dogs for the 4th, all can be forgiven.

One of the best things about owning an RV park is the interaction with the people that visit.

Last night we fired up the pavilion smoker and had an awesome cookout with Chris and Jennifer Doherty, our friends from Texas. A short time later, John and Angie, all the way from Canada, dropped by and we all sipped bourbon and watched the moon come up.

What an awesome night!

A couple of my old racing buddies came by yesterday and one of them, Chris Doherty, made some pulled pork for lunch. It was awesome! Here are some random shots of the park yesterday.

Now you know they're lying, right? :) :) :)

Glad to see you "resort" is full...
Yep, we're hanging in there. Many of these visitors booked last year or the beginning of this year, before fuel spiraled up. The type of RV's coming is changing too. Last year and earlier this year, I got a fair amount of motorhomes. Now I'm getting mostly trailers & 5th wheels.

It doesn't really matter, they all pay the same, right? But it's clear that the Class A's are staying home now more than before. I enjoy the people, regardless of what they bring. But I'm a Class A kind of guy, and I enjoy seeing those big ol rigs rolling in the park.

Bookings have gotten absolutely out of hand. Might be the time of year, or it might be that people are finally finding us, not sure. But we're filling up the empty spaces quickly!

Got several good reviews today too. Very proud of our ratings!

Tonight Trish and I fired up the BBQ and hosted the park to 4th of July burgers, hot dogs, potato salad and baked beans. Lots of sugary snacks too, but who needed that, right?

Had a couple guests of honor that we are very happy to see return today. A day late, but better late than never. :) Nice people, beautiful rig, and wonderful to see them again.

Middle of the picture, both facing the camera, she's wearing pink and he's on her right side wearing blue. But who are they??? lol

No takers? Not even a wild guess?

OK, the couple in the pic are John and Mary Beth Reynolds. John, on this forum, is known as Old Bubblehead.
