Now that the thread has been hijacked, again, please keep in mind there is a difference between full-timers and permanent residents.

Now...back to our normally scheduled programming about diesel costs.

Looks like diesel fuel prices went down a tiny bit compared to the week before except for the West Coast and Rocky Mountains.

I’m calling it a win.

Have a neighbor in this CG that transports new RVs around the country. He just got rid of his old Ford Super Duty with almost 500,000 miles on it and bought a used 2019 F350 with 90,000 miles.

He claimed he was getting 21 to 23mpg when driving highway non-towing and when towing 8,000 to 10,000 pound RVs he always got between 11 and 14mpg. For years he has used nothing but XDP Power Plus fuel additive.

He gave me a bottle to try. It is a convenient product to use because the bottle is designed to measure an ounce out, which is what you are suppose to use for every 32 gallons of diesel. Sure beats using a funnel to dump in my DieselKleen additive. Anyhow, I have been using it and my mpg (non-towing) has went from 17-18mpg to staying right at 20mpg. I won't know what increase I'll get towing because it will be another month or so before we leave this area.

Based on his recommendation and what I have observed so far I'm going with this as my additive from now on. Just ordered six bottles.

And to think just a mere two years ago we were energy independent. Kinda brings a tear to my eye ya know?

According to this site: AAA Gas Prices , diesel prices actually declined overnight from an avg of $5.771 to $5.770.

Can I get a whoop whoop?

That’s a BIG WHOOP💰💰😂. Thanks Putin👍

Currently where we are (central IL) diesel went up this week over .20, then sometime yesterday a couple stations dropped it .10. Generally cheaper than gas in my area.

As I travel away from California prices are steadily, if slowly, dropping. From over $7 ($7.299 at my local Chevron) at home to the high $5 range in Southern Nevada. Hoping for better prices in Az, Nm and Tx.

The pic below was supposedly taken in Mendocino last week. I am a bit dubious, but unfortunately it seems possible.83C5315C-E2F6-461F-93EF-85F1366069C5.jpeg

Well I had to fact check, and…..WOW!
