Highly unlikely that a 120VAC residential fridge would have an inline fuse - it's most likely protected by a circuit breaker in the power panel, or a sub-panel somewhere.
all breakers are off..no sub panel
 
Since it's new you should contact the dealer, etc. It sounds like it's not wired properly.
