So, strange thing happened today and wanted to pass along the fix…

We got tired of trying to stream things so picked up the hardware for Dish satellite. Already had the Traveler Pro antenna on the roof so picked up a Hopper 3, two wireless Joeys, and the wireless access point.

Not too bad to install overall and get working. Plus we now have local channels wherever we are as well as being able to turn it off and on as we wish.

Now to the issue that came up today.

Started a movie and turned on the Bose sound bar - nothing (sound did come out tv speakers). Tried from the Samsung TV channels and worked properly. Tried Bluetooth and worked properly. Only thing not working was the Dish sound.

Reseated the optical cable on both ends, no change.

Decided to swap the cat to hdmi connection to the other hdmi on the television and got sound. Swapped it back and got sound again.

Strange overall but it appears unplugging the adapter from the television and plugging it back in fixed the issue.

Thought I’d pass it along just in case.

Still going to discuss with Newmar since the network conversion box is not 4K but all the televisions are.

If they have anything to pass along I’ll add it here.

It seems no matter what movie you pick it always turns out to be an adventure....

Always an adventure and everyday is an opportunity to learn something new.
