It’s the Newbie again... we find ourselves still on the road and in weather we didn’t expect. We have another week before heading home and are experiencing nights of 24-27 degree weather. We have the floor heaters on to keep the basement warm. On Wednesday we expect to get 3” of snow here. Should we be doing anything else to be sure nothing freezes? Thanks in advance for your sage advice and tips. ?

You should be fine, temperature wise. In fact, you don't even need to keep the floor heat on (though, it sure is nice!) as the Oasis heat will keep the wet bay and storage compartments heated.

What I would be more concerned with is the weight of 3" of snow on the slide toppers; especially if it partially thaws and then re-freezes. It can get pretty heavy and can prevent the slide toppers from rolling up. We don't spend a lot of time out in the winter, but in the times we've had snow we brought the slides in to keep it from building up on the extended toppers. It makes for some snug quarters, but prevents slide topper damage.

If you do get a heavy coating of snow on the toppers, you will want to clear it off before bringing the slides in.

Mike, if you are snowbirding, you are doing it wrong. :p

Very true!!! This was not our intention. We thought we’d be home by now. Daughter had baby and then my dad took a fall. Been up here a couple of weeks getting him settled. Looking forward to a warm weather trip after the holidays- if we can find a spot not already booked.
