Travel time is upon us, isn't anybody going, doing anything?????????
Am I the only person lucky enough to actually USE their RV?

OK, since posting here seems a little neglected, I will HOPEFULLY get things rolling, would love to hear of your plans coming up ot where you actually are, or went....

Trip number #4 is fast approaching, leaving next weekend to go up and over the Cascades to this little lake my wife and I enjoy.
This will be a few weeks later that when we normally go, which is right after opening day trout season....we opt to arrive on Sunday as everyone who works is leaving :)
It can be cold, but the fishing is good, and these trout caught out of this cold just iced out water taste wonderful....
We truly leave them biting as we can only eat so much.
Its not much on accommodations, back in on asphalt that is slanted almost as much as the talk coming out of the media and politicians... water and electric, no sewer, and tight, you can hear the next over RV occupant snoring matter of fact..... :)
It's called Alta Lake.

A few pictures.

note: I guess you need to click on the link to the last picture as it must be too big to load, its a panorama

At the mother ship, then camping nearby, then bourbon tour on the way home

Nice fish!! Bet they are tasty!! Where is Lake Alta? For sure North of where I'm at!

Taking some time off, we were on the road for 6 months, 2 months this past fall out west, then just back from 4 months in florida, good lookin trout

We are headed out on the first. Going to the NKK International rally then some road adventures. Will be on in the coach about 2 months this trip.

We used to be able to catch trout like that out of the bow river in Alberta when I was a kid. Not so much any more.

Our winter trip will start in September this year. Heading east from Calgary to take in The Blue Ridge Parkway. Kentucky and Tennessee for some Bourbon tasting. A bit of a stay on Dauphin Island in Alabama then on to New Orleans for Mardi Gras where Daughter #1 and Grandchildren will join us. Then a slow mosey on back to Canada arriving mid April. Meanwhile, We are doing some landscaping for daughter #1 (we use her address for our home base) and short trips around Alberta. Then off the Vancouver to visit daughter #2.

Oh no. In a hotel, waiting for it to come out of paint. Was in the kitchen most of Tues.

We went into storage April 15 after 4 months touring the desert southwest. Out of storage on May 18 to cross the border at Sumas WA for 2 night stops stops at Manning Provincial park, Oliver BC for winery tours and 2 cases of assorted local wines. Next stop was Castlegar and a day trip to Nelson. Today, we've just landed at Fernie BC for 2 nights then will go to Drumheller Alberta to see the dinosaurs. Will continue east making it up as we go until we reach Estevan Saskatchewan to cross over to North Dakota then west eventually back to storage by the end of June so we can do the 4th with family at Birch Bay! Next trip is the Oregon coast after Labor Day for Dungeness crab.

Do make sure you stop in at Dinosaur Provincial Park on your way to Estevan.

Its about a 2 hour drive from Drumheller. This is where the bones are dug up. I believe there are still digs happening. I know the Campground in the park will probably not be available. It gets booked real fast but there are other parks available within a half hour from dinosaur. Well worth the visit.

safe travels

Darrell

Ours is never in storage.
We use it 5-10 times a year. I just don’t post upcoming trips and will only post afterward if something significant is experienced.
It’s really not that hard to figure out who you are and where you live with some intelligent searching on the internet, even with a “cleverly disguised” screen name.
I prefer to not give potential thieves my itinerary.

I understand that Dan but if you just got back I don't see it as a threat.
I live in a place on a island where we are very safe and secure and the coming and goings noticed.
I realize that is not the norm nowadays as in some states we allow folks to steal almost a grand a day for whatever reason....sad.
We stay almost always in state campgrounds, and even there it is becoming more of a risk as some see what you have and they want, take it if you venture away from your spot. It's why my wife and I always try and make small talk to those campers around us, but sadly that is getting harder and harder to do, as some never make eye contact or acknowledge you even after days of being your neighbor..... bummer.

There’s no threat to me while away, but my home is empty. That’s why I don’t give my travel plans.
Once I’m back, if nothing exciting or unusual happened, there’s no point in boring you with the details.
