I’m tapping into a 12v source, that being the existing 12v aux socket (aka cig lighter).

I pulled the fuse for that circuit, yet there is still 12v coursing through it. How can that be?

Mislabelled fuse?
 
I don’t think so. That’s the fuse I replace when that socket goes dead.

After pulling the fuse, was measuring 12.3 v initially, but my latest measurement shows 12.03. It’s like there is a stored charge somewhere that is gradually discharging.
 
Interesting…. Keep us posted. Not sure where that is coming from…
