I am having an issue with my camper that we rent out. The tenant woke up Saturday morning without any power. I went out and found that the cord has been previously spliced, but not done properly. It was just twisted together with some electric tape on it. I cut out the bad cord and put a new plug on it. Changed out the receptacle that it's plugged into. Because that was blown also. Went in and checked the breaker box with a voltmeter. It was only reading 83v coming out of the breaker. So i changed out the main breaker, still only read 83v. Today I called a RV shop and they told me it was probably the power converter. I bought a new one and installed that today. Now I am reading 113v at the main breaker but still, nothing is working properly. I checked the receptacle and it is reading 120v. Kind of stumped on what to do next. We just bought this house and it already had 3 tenants living in campers on the property so I am new to this.
