EZ brings up a good point. There are probably folks that will spend a lot of time up and moving around when their Class A is rolling down the road. It would be tempting to let little ones play on the floor if they became bored or whatever. Of course that is if there was even room to move around when the slides were in. Many Class A models only allow a very narrow hallway down the middle while in travel mode anyway. That makes sense. I don't want to give the impression everyone would just be running around anyway, but yea it makes sense that you would need to pull over to use the bathroom or whatever.
The DW (dear wife) may have used the bathroom on occasion when our coach was moving but usually we would just make a pit stop at a rest area or somewhere else. We are never in a hurry anyway.
I suspect with little ones you are going to want to keep your travel days down to 300 - 350 miles a day. If you can only be on the road for 7 hours or so that would be a plus. It would also probably work out better if you could travel for one or two days and then stay stationary for at least two or three days. Many campgrounds will give a break on the price the longer you stay.
Remember there are many factors when deciding between a Class A and a pull behind trailer. If you have some type of motor or transmission issue and it has to be in the shop for a week you are out of a home if you are traveling in a Class A. On the other hand if you are pulling a travel trailer you at least still have a place to live for that week.
