So, I got my DS out and took it to weigh. We don't have the ability to four corner or axle weigh. We have a 53' bridge scale. The approaches are level. The total weight was 40,520 pounds. The back axles weighed 21,210 pounds. The front axle weighed in at 19,280 pounds. I know the weighing method is not perfect, but the sum of the axles is off by 70#. The GAWR on the front axle is 17K. 3/4 tank of fuel,50 gals. of water.

There were a few years that Newmar built Dutch Stars with undersized front axles but I think it was around 2014. I’d double check that with another scale and if its right (I doubt its too far off) then I’d look into rearanging the load. Whats the weight rating of the front tires?

The tires are rated at 9k @ 120psi. No, I weighed the tag and drive together

I have less than 1k of cargo and the bulk of the weight is to the back of the basement

yeah I’d be a little concerned too about overloading the front tires

My 22 DS 4369 fully loaded, full fuel and 3/4 water, weighs 44,400 with the fronts at 17,900. Since you weighed the tag and drive together, you can't tell if there might be a ride height issue forcing some of the weight to the front. Might have that checked

With 85% fuel, 95% fresh water and zero on both grey and blk tanks we weigh
LF: 9050
RF: 8590
LR: 8575
RR: 8525
LT: 4785
RT: 4785
TOTAL: 44320

so both of you are carrying less than 18k on 19k front ends
