Question Freeze coming, what's the minimum I can get away with to protect tanks?

The Oasis will keep the wetbay warm enough as long as it cycles. The last couple of days driving...we had Oasis Off and used dash air heat. After about 3 1/2 to 4 hrs...the basement temp dropped to zero, so we turned Oasis back ON w/burner the last hour of our drive. Temps returned to above freezing...and coach was nice and warm when we setup camp. Nice to have a wireless means of monitoring bay temps.

Make sure to drain the Gen Bay hot water line, if you have that option. There is a ball valve in the pass thru bay on the drivers side up along the frame rail. There is also a drain line in the Gen Bay you can open to let the water out of the line after closing the other valve.

In super cold...IF you are parked with electric...having ceramic heaters can be useful when used just enough to keep the Oasis from running all the time. You want it to cycle...to keep the wet bay warm...but assisting with electric heat keeps your diesel consumption moderated some.

I also have been thru cold camping where the grid goes down... you don't want to loose power at night....the battery and inverter can keep things running until they don't. The freezing temp of battery electrolyte isn't a factor with a fully charged battery. But if you drain the battery below 50% unknowingly...the freezing temp can become an issue. I set up the AGS to start if my SOC drops...indicating shore power failed. You can use a voltage trigger if you haven't modified your system with ME-BMK & ME-ARC components. It will keep things going...and usually wake you up when the generator starts so you are aware.
 
IMHO there is no reason to have the burner off while driving. It won't run as the OASIS transfer fluid is heated by the engine. If there is something calling for the transfer fluid to be at some thermostat setpoint and the engine can't heat it then the burner will engage. This is how I believe it works, correct me if wrong. For example my last leg of driving I had burner on and furnace on to keep everything heated in the coach, at a lower than normal setpoint, but that's how I ran with it for the drive.
