I have a 2021 Newmar Ventana. I’ve notice the my fresh water tank filled up while at a campground. I have tused the Top Off and Auto Fill functions from the controls in the coach, but I haven’t for several weeks. I just noticed tonight that my fresh water tank is at 100%. It was at 50% a week ago. In the wet bay the setting is at Auto Fill. Should that be on manual instead. I am hoping I just have the settings wrong & something is not wrong with the coach.

All help appreciated.

Bill

Is your shower water miser on? It returns water to the tank….

I’m not completely understanding the problem. You have settings on autofill, and your tank is at 100%. That’s what happens when your tank draws down to 50%.

Responding to both Rich and Neemer. Thanks for your input.

If the shower miser is what tells you when the water in the shower is warm then - yes I have kept that on! Didn’t know that returned water to the fresh tank when also hooked up to city water.

I guess to restate my problem. How can I add water to the tank to the level I want and have it stay at that level even when I am hooked to city water.

That is what AutoFill is. If you set manual fill in the wet bay then it will flow until you tell it to stop, i.e. fill and overflow. The wet bay doesn't turn on AutoFill, it's a big confusing, they should have titled it "manual fill" with "on and off". So in the wet bay make sure manual fill is not ON. AutoFill is enabled within your coach. On my 2017 Ventana it's done on the system that shows tank levels and you have to press and hold to go from off to enabled.

I agree with @Neal that this function can be quite confusing.

Assuming your system works the same as mine (big assumption these days), you can achieve your goal a couple of ways. First, fill your tank to the desired level, then:

1) Turn autofill and the water pump off. City water will then be your only water source and the tank will remain at its set level.

Or

2) If your city water pressure is at or above 60 psi, it will override your water pump.

Also - Keep in mind, the autofill will not "refill" until the tank gets down to about 1/3 full or so... THEN it goes to refill the tank....
