Fresh water tank drain question?

Low point drains don’t drain your tank, they drain your lines past the water pump.

I was asking about the tank drain valve. Does yours drain as slowly as mine?

The big one behind the low point? It isn’t fast but I don’t think it’s slow either. I end up standing in a small lake in just a few moments when I open it.

I don’t think it’s ever taken more than 30m to drain. That said, when I drain it and cut the water several hours in advance and tell the kids to take a shower and the wife to do some laundry and dishes. Then there’s not much water in the tank to drain.

Somewhat on topic....with that little 1/2” drain in my DS it can take almost 3 hours to gravity drain the tank unless I help it along with the water pump. Is this normal or is my drain valve/line somehow plugged? It’s been like this from day one.

I pack a lunch, as it can take me as long as four hours to drain a full tank.

Our fresh water tank has a valve that empties straight out the bottom of the tank storage door it is in. I drain it out before taking in to winterize. No need to make a huge puddle on the floor of the dealership.
