Generator Start/Stop toggle switch not working....suggestions how to check toggle switch? Other options? This is for a 2006 Monaco Diplomat. Also should the toggle switch be bad, how do I locate another toggle switch? Any and all ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

i Would check all the connections under the panel. Over time if not latched properly the could disconnect.

There should be another switch located on the generator unit itself, try that and if it starts your issue is either the dash switch or wiring to it.

The Onan troubleshooting guide suggests you check the 3 fuses under the generator operator console on the genset. You have to remove the access panel, pull out the radiator fill hose so you can get to the wiring under the fill hose. The fuses are in inline waterproof fuse holders. Check these before the toggle switch.

Don't laugh, but I thought the same for ours - turned out that I have to hold it down for SEVERAL seconds - 15 seconds at least, I think.

Sometimes it seems it takes forever for the generator to fire, especially if it’s in cold weather or been a long time since last use. Hold down the bottom of the rocker and listen carefully as you should be able to hear the fuel pump run. Hold it down for 15-20 seconds and then hold the upper part of the rocker in. Hopefully it will fire in 10-15 seconds.

Ours is "start' on the bottom - what's this about holding the top? On ours, that would be "stop".

Yeah same here, not sure what @J&JD is referencing. I'd assume a '17 DS is similar to my '15 and it's just a hold down bottom of rocker.

On our 17 , the start is on top. If you hold down the “stop” the generator will prime & you can hear the fuel pump working. My previous coach (05 Alpine) worked exactly the same way.
