We are traveling to Calgary this summer and we carry a firearm on board our coach. We will be traveling thru Great Falls,MT coming and going. Does anyone have a suggestion for storage while in Canada. We have done this sort of storage in Maine while traveling the Canadian seaboard, hoping there is something similar in MT.

When bringing a firearm into Canada in an RV, you must store it unloaded in a locked compartment in the back of the RV. You must also declare the firearm at the border and pay a fee.

Storage
  • The firearm must be unloaded and out of reach of the driver and passengers
  • The firearm must be stored in a locked compartment, such as the trunk
  • If the vehicle doesn't have a trunk, the firearm must be in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console
  • Restricted and prohibited firearms must be in a locked case with a locked safety device.

This company has a preferred partner gun store in Great Falls that you might contact.

I would personally never go to Canada. Not giving them our attention or money. Just my humble opinion.

Other than their 'whack-a-doodle' leader, what's wrong with Canada?
I don't go ANYWHERE that doesn't want you to protect yourself if needed. My father was all but arrested at the border for having a box of ammo for a gun that he left at a FFL dealer before entering that country. Apparently they believe you can use a straw or something to fire a bullet. They are just afraid of their subjects.

Go to a local public storage. I’ve been known to pay as little as $28.00 for a 10 day storage. Don’t ask what they allow or don’t allow and don’t discuss what you are storing.

If just 1 or 2 guns and short time you might could even pawn them.

Their country their laws. If you don't want to follow their laws they don't want you in their country.
