Trying to upgrade my 1200w inverter to a Renogy Rego 3000w split Phase inverter, but the issue is the Onan 5.5 kw generator is a single phase and the inverter does not like it. Also why do they send power to both main and sub panels? Trying to figure out the correct inverter to use and figure out how and why they run the power to the panels this way.
