Our son is stationed in Clearwater in the USCG. We've decided to dip a toe into the RV life and head in that general direction for about 1-2 months. We have a Class C. We looked at several parks there during a vacation but are having troubles finding one that accepts two dogs, one 12/60 pounds. Any suggestions or recommendations of parks in that area? We aren't limited to Clearwater, we are open to suggestions. Thanks.

We are headed to Florida this year. Book early to get what you want because that is the state everyone wants to go to in the winter. It depends on the the type of place as well near water in wooded area as there are a lot of options. I personally can’t recommend any parks to consider but someone will have a suggestion.

Quail Run in Wesley Chapel, North of Tampa is just off I75, may be too far from Clearwater. Fort DeSoto in St Petersburg is closer. The toll roads in and out is one down side. Just buy the Sun Pass and you will get through quicker. We have stayed at both parks and no complaints. Good luck

We'd like to be around 100 miles of Clearwater but that's subject to change. As long as I can get to Ybor City for cigars, it's all good.
