Most of the flooding could have been avoided if the storm drainage was maintained. Full of garbage and overgrown with brush. Mudslides, well don't build a home on the side of a hill made from gravel and dirt. They tend to move when wet.

like i said, happens every 5-7 years and our state reps do nothing to upgrade or maintain the infrastructure.
 
We are in Southern Ca but on the east side (east of the Santa Rosa mountains) so in a rain shadow. We just get some moderate welcome rain in the desert when this happens but it’s always interesting. I’m sure we got a lot of rain at home in Northern Ca but thats farm country so its welcome there too.
