We're hunkered down here in Orlando as hurricane Eta is making her way towards us. Supposed to get 50 mph gusts this evening and more tomorrow. I saw a couple of people bringing their slides in but I don't see how that is going to be a benefit. But maybe I'm missing something?

All the normal things are taken care of, awning is tucked away and the basement doors are secure. Brought in the chairs and watched the ants making their way to safety. What have I missed?

Slides in for those with slide toppers that flap around in the wind.

Stay safe!

In high winds, I fold down the satellite dish on the roof.

Batten down the hatches, @Jim! Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers for safety during the storm.

Was as prepared as I could be, here in St. Augustine. Slides in, satellite dish stored, and everything outside stored!
But, thankfully it turned out to be no worse than some of the "Nor'east" winds, we had already encountered, and maybe 1"-1 1/2" of rain. Very lucky!
As this was our "first" Florida hurricane experience!
Beautiful weather ahead! Thankfully!?

Good luck, Buly!

Yes, good luck on the upcoming surgery, @Buly. You'll be in our thoughts and prayers.

Thank you guys. Just a hernia that developed after my last years prostate cancer surgery. Like an old car.... one thing after another ?

I remember you saying something about it several months ago. I'm going to face the same soon. Good luck buddy!

Tuesday we are arriving at Stage Coach RV park St Augustine for a week. I have date with the surgeon at Mayo Clinic JAX. ?‍⚕️?
Buly, good luck with the surgery!
We are only about 10 miles from you, so if you have any issues, or need anything, holler!
804-334-3691 is my cell!

Take care Buly. My surgery wasn't bad. Didn't even use the pain killers. The recovery from the G.A. sucked though.
Doctors and lawyers are high on my "Do not visit" list.

I think he did fine Dona40, the post you responded to was from a year ago. :)

Well, after the surgery I developed a incision hernia. Back to Mayo Clinic with the Dutch Star to get it fixed.
3 days later I drove home.
This year at the end of our 4 month RV trip, I noticed a second hernia??.
I’m so glad I did most of the stuff I wanted to do in life when I was younger.
Getting old sux.

Funny. I was looking at the day not the year. Yep, "Getting old sux"
Glad things worked out anyway.

Buly......

Got to agree with you! BUT! Being old & slow, is better than the alternative!

I just turned the calendar another page yesterday! Now "75", doesn't seem old!:D

Hope you feel better soon, & get well quickly!(y)
